Charity Speedrunner Has Mastered One of My Favorite Games Ever

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was the 75r com first role-playing game I ever played, and it took me years to beat it when I was a kid. Then this guy did 
it in under three hours. This week’s Awesome Games Done Quick 2015 charity speedrunning marathon has featured some really

But nothing has impressed me so much as watching speedrunner Checkers beat Super Mario RPG in less time than it took seven-year-old me to figure out how to leave Mario’s house. He slips up right at the beginning by running into one of the 
very first enemies—hilariously, during a spot in the game where you don’t actually earn any experience w69 anyway—but it seems things turned out pretty well in the end.
