See What a Difference 0.33 Makes With the New Evangelion Movie

Additional details, shadows, and light effects can be

Even subtle things like the direction of shadows have been adjusted for a more natural look. The previous two Blu-ray releases of 1.11 and 2.22, also had additional scenes and retouched effects, so this is a fairly betdog regular practice for Gainax. However, I watched my Blu-ray copy of Eva: 3.33 last night and the added/edited portions look very 
natural and work seamlessly with the finished product. While opinions of the movie itself appear to be strongly divided, one thing I can definitely say is the aesthetic quality is superb, and the .33 upgrade certainly works to enhance that.
